TIPS & TRICKS

1. Use anti-static spray! it could save your life. Eliminate the possibility of static discharge as much as possible.
2. Try working on a towel with anti-static spray sprayed on it or kraft paper. This makes cleanup very easy. It is also smart to do your work outdoors if possible.
3. Remove any jewelry you are wearing. Some of these chemicals quickly tarnish certain metals (IE sulfur and silver).

			Naphthalene Charges - These are very easy to make devices for beginners that are safe and have a neat effect. I've heard that this is what is used in movies to simulate gasoline type fireballs.
			Micro Mines - Just like regular mines except tiny! Great when linked together and used concurrently with other devices.
			Fountains - Big or small, everyone loves fountains. These are fast and easy to make.
			Lil' Bangers - I call these pinkies because I make them with pink post-it notes. They are inspired from the original Chinese bp firecracker manufacture.
			Stinger Missiles - What fun! These little pains in the ass are so neat when the work right. Not terribly reliable though (-;
			Hummers - This project illustrates how to make hummers, drivers, small rockets, and spin stabilized rockets. The project is easy, fun, and safe!
			Candles - Often called Roman candles. These are a more difficult project for the amateur because they are hard to get perfect consistent results out of. This design documents a hand-held candle that you should not hold in your hand (-:
			Whistles - Some people find these incredibly annoying. They are pretty annoying aren't they. This howto covers the semi-complex method of making the mix and making a finished ground whistle. This can also be used as propellant.
			Crackling Microstars - You can use these instructions to make any microstars, but they are specific to crackling microstars. These are also known as dragon eggs and have many uses.
			Smoke Bombs - A favorite of mine since I was young. Sometimes you can't wait until nighttime and need something to hold you over, these are the perfect solution. This project covers colored smoke, HCE smoke, black smokes, and ammonium chloride smokes.
			Strobe Pots - These are a very easy project for the beginner. They are a great way to get prepared for star making because they involve the use of a wet slurry whose consistency is unimportant. Coincidentally, the same formulae used to make them are also used to make stars.
			Buzz Bombs - A mini-howto. Turn your drivers into buzz bombs with store bought wings. Why make your own wings when you can buy them for next to nothing?
			Potassium Dichromate Treatment - Treat magnesium with potassium dichromate. Essential for mixing Mg with ammonium perchlorate, makes the Mg resistant to water.
			Silver Acetylide - A very sensitive impact explosive that can be made easily by the amateur hobbyist. Care should be taken with this project, if proper safety precautions are not observed it is very dangerous.
			Stars - Pumped, Cut, Rolled, Pillbox, Microstars. One of the most essential components to pyrotechnics. Learn how to do it from mixing the composition to putting the finishing prime on the stars.
